Object to data use

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Tell us your handle. We remove what we hold and keep you out of every future analysis. No reason needed.

Your account (required)
Add more accounts (up to four)

Only to send you one confirmation with your reference. We don’t add it to our records.

For example an earlier handle. No reason needed.

Who this form is for

Individual creators and commenters on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, for their own accounts, or someone authorised to act for them. You don’t need to give a reason.

Brand and company accounts aren’t covered. If you run one and have a question about our analyses, write to [email protected].

What happens next

  • Straight away: the accounts you name go on our exclusion list. We leave them out of every future collection and analysis.
  • After that: we take reasonable steps to remove matching information from the data we already hold. That covers posts from your account and comments you wrote, which we find through their pseudonymised identifiers.
  • If you gave an email address: we send you one confirmation with your reference.

We check every objection. If an account turns out to be a brand or company account, or an objection doesn’t come from the person behind the account, we may not act on it. When in doubt, we may ask you to confirm through the account itself, for example with a message on the platform.

What we keep

  • The platform and the handle, in readable form, so we can keep the account out. We keep these as long as the exclusion applies.
  • What you entered, when, through which channel, and a reference number. If we don’t act on an objection, we also note why.

Your email address goes to our email provider only to send the confirmation. We don’t add it to our records. Your note reaches us by email and stays with the record of your request.

If you change your handle

We match accounts by handle. If you rename your account, the existing entry won’t recognise the new name. Tell us at [email protected] and we’ll update it.

What this doesn’t cover

  • Your posts and comments on the platform itself. Removing your data from our systems doesn’t delete anything on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube. Use the platform’s own settings for that.
  • Reports we’ve already delivered and material we’ve published. We look at these under your statutory rights. Write to [email protected].
  • Your other rights, such as access or erasure, and your right to object to other processing. Section 9 of our Privacy Policy explains them, and our Data Subject Rights and Privacy Complaints Policy explains how we handle requests and complaints.
